'Wrist' vibrato is a technique where the note is wavered in and out of pitch by rotating the wrist away from the fingerboard and back again repeatedly. Be sure to release the pressure of your thumb from the back od the neck. This type of vibrato is commonly used by B B King and Eric Clapton.
